By these descriptions,there is not one catdog in the whole state of Maine,I'm not even sure that there is one in New England.I have heard of a couple dogs that have 100 cats to thier credit,but know were near that many treed.And it took them atleast 9 or 10 years of hard hunting to acomplish this.

I'd agree I've tried some maine dogs out west and never had any luck! I have several frien and west coast guys who will put 100 cats on wood by the time there in their 3rd or 4th hunting season. But it is to completely diffrent kind of styles of hunting. Like oil and water.

Catdog-strike,trail[heads up when they can],locate[know the cat's up and park it].oh yeah collllllddd and hot tracks alike.
