I am contenplating a hunting light and was wondering what others had or had experience with. I really like the bump cap styles more than a soft ball cap just for the country I hunt. Any opinions would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

Just make sure you check your area with the dfg regs. Most of the spots I hunt are open to all but up here where I live it has to be under 9 volts.

By a belt light you will never know it's there, I have never been botherd by DF&G about volts I have 2-28's, 2-21"s and 17 volt. I think if it's obvious what your hunting and it's up to wardens discression, but if you want to be safe buy a 2D cell LED MAGLITE. Very worth the $$$$$$. Good kuck on whatever you choose. What part of Cali are you from?

I am from the Delta area Oakley, Antioch. I believe I have met you "Bearman" once before out at the galt pond. Any specific brand I should stick with or stay away from?

houndhavoc: Did you have Red dogs? Any of those lights will work just depends on how much $$$$ you want to spend. Try the 2cell mag lite. "LED"

I'd either go with either Blazer in Ohio, or The Battery Terminal in Kentucky.
I have both and like them both very much.
Good Luck!

You need one of the new Predator lights. I have hunted with quite a few others and there's nothing like no cord, doesn't get hot, and no heavy battery. The coons will look, plus its great in fog. The charge lasts all night. Nothing better. Get one and you;ll never use a battery and cord again.

Tom A wrote:I'm sure you can arrange that draw. Its funny how I drew the same people on every cast! And had to guide on shitty public land. Will your score be as high as it was last hunt, when I'm a witness. What cant take a joke or you just like to hear yourself talk.
Tom whats up? Drawing of casts are right in front of everyone, I was'nt on your cast the 2nd night? The shitty spot was your very own spot? just say no when asked to guide a cast not a big deal, I asked you to guide because you said that you catch coon there. Maybe no coon cause they get hammerd or get killed I don'tknow. Just remind me next time and I wont ask.
Zach sorry your post got jacked.
