Back in the 80`s i was hunting lion over by olathe, Colorado.
we caught a real nice Tom, and ran into an old timer on the road, that wanted to look at the dogs ,and visit. A real nice guy, and hunter. He wanted me to come by his place, and look at his dogs, and ended up giving me a pup, he wanted me to try. I got the pup run over, so dont know what he would have done. I cant remember that fellows name. His first name was Bud, and I beleive, he was related to Giles Goswick. He had a lot of stories about Mr. Goswick. I think they were brother-in laws? I am sure he is long gone, but wondering if anyone knew him. Nice fellow. Thanks, Kirk

Thanks Cathunter. Yes buddy did pass away a few years back and Louise some years before him. I am not sure where Julie is but I would like to know if anybody does she was sure close to old Buddy.

Buddy was a real breeder and a dog and chicken man deluxe. There are but a few fellows who can work an animal and judge it's potential and then make a cross and work on with it. Buddy had that gift. He was very good to me and I am proud to say the best hound I have ever owned or seen was bred at Buddy Steven's place.

Thanks, for the replies, that is his name. I thought he said you had a dog from his stuff Mike. Cathuntr, if you live near where Bud was, I heard that all that country was under a long lion study again? I loved hunting in that country, and hope to try it again,if its not all closed. Have you ever been to the bottom of the Rubideux? Thanks Kirk
