most of the southern states are pretty good. no draw and lots of different game. no closed running seasons like TX cats are year round harvest, no draws and they have hogs if your dogs don't have much nose.
nc has over the counter bear, no limit bobs, and year round running.
va has OTC bear, bob is 12 a year, long training seasons and right to trespass to retrieve dogs (unarmed & on foot).

North Carolina definately here we hunt every thing with dogs deer, bear, hogs, fox bobcat, and rabbits. There is no permits or anything because dog hunting is normal way of hunting around here. but out of state still hunters are pushing fo a still hunting only state for deer and it makes me furious but i think that since its a tradition thats been around since the pilgrims came here i wont see the banning of it for along time if ever.

If it wasn't for the Damn Tree Huggers Calif would'nt be have bad,we've got lot's of game, Bears are thick the Lions are everywhere and there's lots of Bobs And Coon as well. But Everyone is a damn Anti it seems, and DFG mostly hates us, but if you keep a low profile and stick to the 3 S's, it isn't have bad especially up north and during the winter when the huggers are afraid of the cold.

cali would straighten out quick if they took the vote away from sandiego, L.A. & sanfrancisco. in fact they would probably recover financially pretty quickly as well, as at least 99% of the dumb@$$ & irresponsible laws are initiated by those urban areas.

Pops, I agree with you. Most of the population of California are in the bigger cities. I don't think most of them have ever even been out of the city. The kind of people that think meat comes from the store where no animals were harmed. About 20 years ago they were discussing splitting the state into 2 states at Sacramento...for several reasons including hunting I think would be a good thing for us in Northern Ca. If Northern Callifornia were a state, I would say that would be the best state to hunt in.

If your talkin bobcat only so. utah would have to be one of the best. you can buy 4 tags over the counter and you can cut 20 bobcat tracks every time you go out. now if your talking all around bears, lions, etc it is probably at the bottom of the list.

Most of the people down here don't have a clue about wildlife ,other than what they see on the news or hear from the Peta holes. If Ca ever split in two I would sure want to be in the Northern part as well. Most people aren't against Hunting per say, but are easily turned off by negative news reguarding Animal crultey and Illegal Hunting, selling Bear Parts Ect.. Several houndsman have really screwed it up the last few years.Videos of your hunt are great to enjoy and keep for memories, however if they get into the wrong hands it can have a Terrible effect on the rest of us.Reguardless of what type of hunting we enjoy we need to stick together because the Antis are after all of us.IMO
