I'm really surprised that SOMEBODY from CHC wasn't there to address the houndsmen at this Field Trial about the fight the HSUS are about to launch on us, you would think that CHC would have been there and take any opportunity to speak to any houndsmen in the state, being as I had a news letter waiting for me in the mail when I got home.

There was a great turn out with 126 dogs in the field trial and 33 in the bear race all went well and everybody had a good time.

Dale ~ You as a member of CHC are just as much a part of CHC as anyone else.
DO YOUR PART and tell folks about what we're up against.

It's time others also begin to spread the word rather than the few who always do.

Dale,

Thats the answer that I thought I would get.

That's cause the answer was accurate, was it not?

Quite honestly, this kind of attitude amazes me. First, you expect so much from an organization that is made up entirely of volunteers who draw no salary whatsoever. What's even more amazing is the fact that you not only have these expectations, but then you have the audacity to verbalize them without having met them yourself. That's what they call, "nerve" where I come from.

I sincerely hope that you guys truly enjoy your field trials, because that is the only option you will have available to you unless you get in the game and help us defend the use of hounds for the pursuit of things other than carpet remnants with bear piss on them.

i was there on saterday and had to ask around and wait for awhile before someone helped renew my membership. i went back on sunday to hangout and have a friend sign up but after waiting for close to a hour we gave up. i was surprised chc wasn't there. It's time others also begin to spread the word rather than the few who always do. pretty broad statement Irv. is that because we don't make it to sac to eat lunch or what? could someone that knows please tell me when i might be able to catch chc commercials? or what channel you guys aire them on?

Gary ~ I'm not even going to entertain a response to you except for this invitation, Come to a CHC meeting a voice your concerns there. They'll be addressed by every CHC member that you'd like to ask.
See you then Gary. June 12th would be the day. Write it down, hope to see you there.

Your always welcome!

Well RIFLEMAN

I would think that with the attacks to our Hunting and Hounds that we believe we are about to under go, that maybe one of our CHC Board members or office holders could be present to address the houndsmen with things like the fund raiser that was sent out on that weekend, I know that there a lot of up-dates that the CHC members don't know about for some time but the officers do, and this would have been a good opportunity.
We gave them the opportunity to address the crowd at Elk Creek and Dan Tichenor and Jim Epting stepped up and did a great job,
I just see that the volunteers from CHC had the opportunity to keep a lot of us in the loop as to what is happening and it was passed on.
And there were more people at this Field Trial then the last few CHC meetings that I have been to, you would think that with the low turn out at the CHC meetings that they would take the opportunity when ever there are more then three houndsmen at the same place at the same time.
