Roy, I'm sure that someone here knows Hap. If not, I know others that do. If you are just trying to get in touch with Richard, send me a PM and I can give you his information.
Benny

Thank's Benny and Gary, Trev already spoke with Richard the other day so we got contact with him. We need an email and telephone number for Hap. Trev's ears are screwed up so he thinks he wrote the number down incorrectly while talking to Richard. Apparently Richard has a working relationship with Hap concerning the hounds.
We just trying to link all the dots here and hopefully we can make a trip over. Dont you guys have an annual get together for houndsmen ?If not maybe that may be a thought to work on.
Thanks you guys - Roy.

Roy, When Sewell Goodwin was alive he had an annual "old time lion hunters' reunoin" every September or October. I never went to the gathering, but I know several of the folks that attended. I'm not sure to what extent the gathering continues. I was told that Sewell's wife still had a get together, but I'm not sure. The annual event was attended by some pretty well known lion hunters, but not all of them I'm sure, as Sewell always sent out invitations to the people that he had contact with. I have always wanted to attend one of these get togethers and meet some of the guys that I haven't met, but without a formal invitation, didn't feel it was my place to crash the party. I would host a get together, but I too would send out invitations and I have never put myself in the same catagory as those others.

You can reach Hap at (575) 483-2669. Do you know him or just looking for him? He is a great guy. I have gotten some dogs from him and they are awesome. We drove down to his place last year with my uncle who has hunted with Hap for years, to get some dogs last winter. Him and his wife Robin gave us a place to sleep and fed us very well. I told Hap we would take them out for a nice dinner and he said Robin could feed us better than any restaurant could and he was right. He is a great man and raises great dogs. Here are a couple of the dogs I got from Hap.

Thanks to idhoundsman for the tel number for Hap. Like the look of your hounds , what do you hunt with your team?
Benny it would be great if you could revive an annual get together like that again , it may be something a few of us would consider attending to meet you guys - thats if we would be invited.
Anyway we got to get over there when funds allow it, it would be nice to meet you guys and see your hounds and how you operate.
Chow for now - Roy.
