tall riggin box?

Here's a question I have been pondering. When I built my dogbox a lot of years ago, I had no intention of hunting bear. since then I have evolved into a bear hunter. my truck is lifted, and my box sits high ontop of it. I have a diomondplate tool box on the very top that I fasten my dogs to. my question is, am I hurting my chances by having the dogs so far from the ground? Any ideas on how to make this box more effective? Ike, if your riggin lions then this should be a cinch. what do you think?
