Frequency of breeding

Any ideas on how often a female should be bred during a cycle? I've tried just leaving them together until she wont stand and also tried every other day til she wont stand. Didnt notice much difference.

from my experience it realy doesnt matter, i always leave the male with the bitch for at least 4 days in the same pen, through the cycle period, never had a problem, (knock on wood)

Mt. Dog, you haven't noticed any difference because the male sperm will live within the female for several days. If both dogs are healthy and YOU HAVE THE CYCLE TIMED CORRECTLY you should be able to breed one time with good results. I like to breed them on the 9th day and the 12th day.
