Lets see and hear the Ut bear hunt stories guys!

I didn't take our Plotts with us, we just went up to spread dads ashes, but we ran into a smokin bear walkin in the dust, got some pix of his tracks. Other then that we was only up there for a few days.

So lets hear some of what other folks had goin on :)

Sure hope you find your hound, sure sucks when you loose them . Rode around the other night looking for my dogs ,which i did find ,but if i would have had my garmin on them could have found them quicker . Lesson learned !

Andrew and I drove up on friday about 9:00 (I didn't want to leave later then 7:30 but had some complications) got there around 3:30, ate Taco Time (we starved ourselves all day just to get some Taco Time) Then went into Moab, turned around to come back to Monticello to meet with a buddy of mine who lives in Springerville (He has some really nice dogs) we went rigging a little, went to camp, ate some amazing corn fed white-tail from Nebraska! :)

Then Andrew and I drove to camp on the canal to sit and talk about all the dogs that have gone through that camp, to talk about all the fish we caught with a redneck fishing pole (Beer can with fishing line wrapped around it, you fill the can with grasshoppers or whatever bait, if you see a fish cop coming you toss the can in the culvert then go get it later) The we drove up Doe Canyon, not too far up it there is a badger hole there, it has been there for like 4 or 5 years now, but I always have to stop and check it out, as Andrew stopped the truck I looked out the windsheild and saw a bear track walkin in the dust.

It must have been pretty fresh because the wind had been blowing and while we was standing there taking pictures of it the wind blew the track away.

We decided my Diesel dog is a cull on the rig cuz he didn't rig that fresh bear (Diesel is a Pit-Boxer LOL)

We got dad's ashes spread and then went into town to have some Zax pizza and a frostie.

Over-all it was a really good vacation. We missed our daughter like crazy and couldn't wait to get back home to see her :)

Ike, the bear wasn't big enough for your shooter on the last day of the season?
