new from oregon and to the sport

My name is Jesse, I am from Oregon and hunt as much as possible. Some friends and I have been calling cats for years with little success. So this spring we each got hound puppies. So now we have two walker black and tan crosses and a redbone. All about 8 weeks now. I have been on hunts with dogs but never ran them myself. So if anyone has any tips or tricks on training I would be pleased to hear. I would like to start a little training by the time they are around 6 months.
