my son wants a dog of his own to train and run he is 13 and goes evertime we run bear. i told him he would have to do it all himself(yeah right)lol. and he agreed if someone knows of a pup or realyoung dog to help him out just mail me. he has no money so free is prefered. he will be required to meet with who ever helps to make sure you approve and to make a gentlemens deal. sounds corny but he needs to be commited to the situation and the dog. thanks for looking.

I will be having some pups in a couple months and would be happy to help the boy out. You will not be disappointed in how these pups are bred. They will be bog game hounds. They will be PR' registered blueticks. I will not post their pedigree I don't want to be hounded for them just yet. I just admire your way of going about this and making the young man do the right thing. I will be making a couple trips up to the UP this summer and fall if that is anywhere near you.

Ike I hope they take me up on this offer to these should be some great blooded bear hounds. They will be grand pups to the dog in my signature. He has been gone a few years now but he was a dandy! I have found very few hounds of his quality since he died. I believe his son is going to shine this year as he is just coming of age to be a pack leader. The female is a heck of a good cat dog but is just not quite as good of a bear hound yet. She has the skills she just needs to make up her mind if she likes bear yet.

i believe we have found a pup. we are taking Hoppy up on his generous offer. thank you to those who looked and special thanks to Hoppy for his willingness to let a kid have a chance at growing as a man and a hunter.

Rockop you are very welcome! I hope it works out for you. You know I was just sitting here thinking about all this and thinking back to the day my Dad took me to pick up my first blue dog a long long time ago. I still remember it like it was yesterday. Good day to remember times with our Fathers.

i have to agree on bringin that boy up that way. it was also very nice to see houndsman help out a youngin. i think its great and it also unsures hunting in the future. tell your boy good luck with that pooch and hoppy i got alot of respect for men who help out our youth. they learn alot bout responsibility and stay out of alot of trouble following a ol hound.
