wouldnt mind having one more dog, but parents say i am lucky to have one, so i am just fine with my bbluetick :D

Not sure about the carpet because it holds moisture and the wood will rut faster.

Nice looking box. The top will be fine if you prime it first then put 2-3 coats of good exterior latex paint on it. Also get you some exterior caulking and seal every seam and hole where you put a screw in. Then get you the best marine carpet you can find. Dont get that stuff from Home depot go to a boat supply it will cost more but last 10x longer. As long as you repaint it every 3-4 yrs should last for a while. Nice job

im new on here but try useing a rubber mat for nonskid material look up rubbercal.com it may b a little pricey but its worth it because it wont corrod on you

Go rubbercal.com they have outdoor rubber that might be a little better for a dog box.
