Hey Guys,

Many years ago, when I hunted all the time, the CHC was in Southern California. I am trying to get back into hunting hounds again and find there are no clubs in SC....

Where are you Guys?

How far south are you? Modesto Houndsmen is still around.

I am in So. Cal. (Castaic area) as well and was looking for those old clubs that my dad used to run with. I ended finding the guys we used to hunt with in Porterville/Springville called Tule River Houndsmen. I am just starting a website up for the club, it is minimal right now but should be in full swing in a couple of weeks. Here is a link to it: http://tuleriverhoundsmen.com/
They are trying to get an event going pretty soon so check the website or get ahold of me.
There is another club that is going further south and I have talked to those guys, seem like good guys and they have meetings @ Bass Pro Shops.

Really looks like there are not that many houndsmen left in southern Cal.
Dale T I live south east of LA so it would be a trip up to where you live. Jamie when you get talking to the Tule River guys see if you can find a guy named Dub Smothers. I use to hunt with him and his dad years back. They use to have a real nice pack of bear dogs and they hunted porterville and springdale area all the time. In fact of you see Dub tell him Joe Standard would like to talk to him and I still have the same number. And Kls thanks for all the clubs and numbers. I will drop you a pm

I am new to this website and also to hunting with dogs. I am looking for a club to join. I live in the Inland Empire and saw your post about the club meeting at Bass Pro. Is that the one in Rancho? How can I get information on this group?
