Try to buy a Taurus Judge .45LC/.410 in CA. Ain't gonna happen unless you get a custom Judge ala a Ned Buntline Special with a 16"+ barrel. DOJ called me at home in response to an email I sent them (stupid me) inquiring about the gun. Keep your powder dry boys, the storm is coming. - Pete, first member and founder of the Dry Powder Society. P.S. How much money out of the HSUS's millions leaks down to the ALF, a domestic terrorist organization? What does that make any member of the HSUS? They can keep me and my black and tans out of the woods when they pry the leash and gun out of my cold, dead hands.

that revolver has been banned in Ca since it was developed. Im not saying that its a good thing but it shoots a .410 shotgun shell. I guess somehow that makes it a shotgun or some kind of short shotgun that too short for Cali regulations. I believe it should be legal but the ban of this revolver is very old news.

I know a guy in Oklahoma that had one and he said it wasn't legal there either.
Does any body know any other states that it's not legal to own?

I don't understand why they would be banned in Ca.I am looking at the specs from the 2010 Taurus catalog and it has the Circuit Judge listed at 4.75 lbs with a 18.5 in barrel and overall length of 38''.
The 18.5 in barrel would make it legal as both a rifle or shotgun as a min barrel for a rifle is 16'' and a shotgun 18'' this should be fine and i was told just last week that you could order one here in This F**ked up state of ours!.
Are we talking about the same gun? or did they change the barrel to be legal, cause it should be fine, heck that gun is longer and heaver that a lot of lever action 30-30,44mag or.45lc some of those have 16'' barrels.

they are banned here because they are considered a short barrel shotgun, as well as an assault shotgun (cylinder feeding mech)

I think that's why the circuit judge, a completely different judge, is also illegal.
