Anyone use a water system where you can water multiple dogs/kennels by just turning on the hose? Some sort of continous connected water system?

You can build an automatic watering system pretty easy by running a 1/4 inch copper line to your watering tray (alot of guys use gutter material, metal or plastic) and then use a float shutoff (they are very inexpensive at a hardware store) maybe $5-8 dollars. The float will have to be covered so it isn't messed with by the dogs. The problem with them is that most have to be attached to your bucket/water tray and then its almost impossible to clean the algea and muck out. And forget this idea if it freezes where you live.
You might be better off plumbing a line to each bucket so it sits right above the bucket so you can still clean out the buckets and then turn on the water to fill them all up.

use commercial automatic dog water valves and under ground water line insulate pipe and put hoods on it in winter if it's not inside. may have to use heat lamp. i use it year round but seldom get hard freezes except at night. i have seen some poultry wateers that would probably work best in cold climates.

I ran a drip line from my sprinklers to my kennel. every morning when the sprinklers come on it puts about five fresh gallons of water into their 60 gallon water dish. I shut it off in the winter, but it does the trick 8 months of the year. I could probably leave it on all year as it rarely gets below freezing here.

Its kind of costly, but horse waterers work good just set them up so one side is in each kennel. They are heated in the winter.

I have implemented a 12 year old boy, five gallon bucket and hose. The hose and bucket proves reliable, the boy tends to require some maintenance, but with the proper amount of urging he very seldom fails even in the winter!

I have same system as LCK minus the 12 yr old son mine has grown up and now it is my 2 legs wouldnt know what to do if didnt have to pack water every nite, just like the old farmer that has to milk the cow every nite.

My system involves, a 7 year old boy, a hose, several 5 gallon buckets and the kids old turtle sandbox.

i use pig waters they are a lot like horse waters but smaller about 4 inches tall and cement they are also heated in the winter. They are also a little spendy but they are so handy dont have to worry about frozen water in the winter and dogs always have water when its hot and the most important.

I just tapped In to the nearest water line and ran some pvc right behind the kennels.I use the lixit type waterer.The pvc Is insulated for cold weather.Seems to work pretty good.The most expensive part is the lixit.Something like $10 apiece.The dogs always have fresh water though.
