I get emotional when I think about our fighting men overseas, dying for me and my family, while I am hunting and having a good time. I get emotional when I think about all the old-timers that built this country with blood, sweat, and tears. I get emotional when I think about the type of people running this country when my children are my age.

All these people have to worry about is a bear that is not being hurt, eating a helluva lot better than one who is actually "working" for a living, and doesn't have to worry about starving to death or another bigger boar killing him in the wild.

Everyone needs to start filming everyone at these events who has a video camera. Then if some of this BS starts showing up, study camera angles, etc., and figure out who the person was. When they show up at the next baying, give their sorry, bleeding heart --- something real to worry about, like a stomping.

the akc is banning the apa due to the bear bays, there is a lot of speculation that the akc liason is the one that started this whole thing, read some of the plott forums.

i think its a good way to train young dogs not necessarily a thing needed for veteran hounds . that bear knows what he is doing so dont feel to sorry for him . there is more blood spilled in the ufc .

i will say one thing about this , even if you dont agree this you better stick together or we are all in trouble, the minute there is division in the ranks the battle is lost, i have run bears for over 25 years and personally never had an opprotunity to put young hounds on a bay like that but i sure would have if i had the chance, i support our southern houndsman as i hope they would support me

That is just it snowhound. If the antis get anything took from us then they have won that battle and the more battles they win they will eventually win the war. I live reasonably close to where these bays take place and they are just a bunch of junk when it comes to grading a dog. Its mainly for a bunch of beer belly cigerate smoking story tellers but we still need to stick together and not give them a chance to take nothing from us. We are getting enough land took and more confrontations from that kind of people here in the mountains as it is. If they get the bay stopped that is just fuel for the fire. Next will be our bear hunting with hounds they they try to stop here.

You all need to hear the whole story on this. Bear baying competitions have been around for many, many, years. If not decades. Just like Dog Field Trials of all kinds including hog, coon, bird, sheep, cattle and on and on, they use live animals that their dogs are trained on and bred for to compete. I'm sure you all can relate to one of these events. The fact is, if we loose any of these type of events soon our sport of hunting with dogs will be the next target. It makes little difference what you think of the competition side of the different types of dogs in this Great Nation, competition events for our dogs using live critters they are bred for is part of our hunting heritage and American way of life.

This bear bay was held by the APA (American Plott Hound Ass.) this July. The APA is the Plott Breeds representative of the Breed to the AKC. HSUS has taken this to the AKC and that organization has now barred the APA from all AKC sanctioned events. To put it quite bluntly, the AKC has now turned on one of it's own because of the pressure HSUS has put on them because of this video that was taken by a spy from HSUS. All this can be verified on any of the Plott site.

Now we find out who really promotes our sport and our dogs. Obviously the AKC likes your money but not your sport.
