north west new mexico

making my first out of tate trip this year and decided to head for new mexico. plan to hunt the north west end of the state any help on area to look at would be appreciated. sorry to invade antbodys area but a guy has to make the most out of available hunt oppertunities so nm here i come ( i promise not to affect your bear population just eager to keep pups mind on track)

Pretty good bear population in the huntable areas of the northwest. Be careful to know where your dogs are in respect to units and reservations. Also make sure your dogs are branded and you have good telemetry on them because a lot of dogs come up missing in these areas and it is really helpful if you know some of the locals because there are some locals out there that can be loco locals when it comes to out of state trucksYou can expect to have a lot of company.

that is true, I had friends that had dogs picked up by pueblo members and had them ransomed for a "reward". Several reservations and especially the medicine clans worship bears so becareful around them, especially zuni and hopi but that is arizona. Just about everyone hits cuba, check west of taos.
