new to louisiana from idaho. want to get back behind hounds

i have hunting big game in idaho for eight or nine years. i would really like to get back to hunting with hounds but i dont know what i will be up against in souther louisiana. what exacally can u hunt where, dangers ect. please give me a heads up for a spend the cash to get back into it
