Moving to NC Coast:Need some help

Anybody on here live in or near Columbus County, NC? I'm taking a new job there with the Division of Forestry as a forester and will be relocating in January.
Looking for some bear hunters to fall in with...I'm not new to bear hunting but am new to hounding them. Been learning a little up in VA about hounds and hope to get 2-3 dogs one day. It will be too late for me to hound them this season, but I want to join a hunting club as soon as I get the family settled in. Will be moving to Columbus Co from NE Georgia. Also want my girl (age 5) to start hunting bears with me if possible and spending more time with her Dad outdoors.
Will also be looking for a nice place out in the country to rent until I get a feel for the good/bad parts of the county. And we will be looking for a new church to attend also. Guess I should have mentioned that first.
Any helpful info would really be appreciated.
