Any ideas to stop a dog from fighting other hounds

, not only at the tree but even when they are free casting.
I'm new at the hound game but very willing to learn. I have been running Quail dogs my whole life but only recently started with hounds. I live in Texas near Lubbock but I can't help that,it is the only place where there is still wild quail. I take hunters to the field for $$ and very little of that.

Shocking collar or cull him, in my experiences they are not worth the headache. You could be spending the time working with a better dog, instead of trying to fix this one.

If it is a young dog then sometimes casturation can cure stuff like that, if it is not a puppy anymore than it is in his head and needs to be culled. If you wait to long you will have him killing another dog. I wont make that mistake again!
Good luck!!

I had one that was cut but still was a mean sucker, I think he was mad at the world for loosing his jewels. HE was only 8 months so it dont fix it everytime, culling takes alot of the stress of worrying when the next fight will break out.

I put him in isolation and for three weeks he's been by his self. The last two days I've had my jack russell near him, no growling or bristling up and he seems to be a different dog . Remains to be seen what he'll do with the pack .
