Well first thing if you find a hound in the woods don't tuch it epecialy if it has a tracking collar on.The owner is burnin gas lookin and he will find the dog but not when it's in some ones car or not even in those mountains any more.Thats when alot of gas gets burnt.

so whats the point of puting your name and phone number on the collar ?. normaly i wouldent touch someones dog but the dog was running down the highway and far as im concerned a dog that got ran over is far worse than a lost dog. as it turned out the owner had to return home for work and was already home when i called so i saved him a trip back to the hills

Welcome BOSS HOG,

I live in Placer County Perhaps we can hook up, I have a 4 1/2 month Plott... There are many clubs near by, United Houndsmen INC. in Galt and Nor-Cal in Loma Rica/Marysville.
and most importantly, California Houndsmen for Conservation, (CHC), we meet in Sacramento. A must membership for all hunters and owners of Hounds...

Congrats on your pup and glad to hear you were able to help out that houndsmen with his dog.
Good Luck on your training,
Yeager

There are some senerios where that name plate means something, a dog running down the highway could be one of them.Thats why I said if you find a dog in the woods....
Mine has my number and my the cb channel we run on it.If you don't have cell signal or a cb then leave that dog alone trust me there being looked for.But........there are times.
That guy had to work huh? Well during bear season my boss is aware if I don't show up for work theres only one reason why.Its happend more than once :?

You'll see and the guide guy is right, the sound from a hound is very hooking.....
