So is it true that this bear had been fed for a really long time? Making it pretty much tame? LOL!

well I guess its not to hard to sneak up on a pet bear, Sucks for the guy who shot this bear to find that out. you shoot a record animal and find out it was not such an awesome deal as you thought. that sucks.

No, it is PERFECT for hound hunters lol.... How can you sneak up on a pet bear or any bear with a pack of barking loud hounds?
The Anti's need to figure what is more fair... A bear outrunning some dogs, or a bear eating a snicker bar thinking a bee stung him when really it was a high powered rifle from 1760 yards away...

The guy in the video is lucky that "bozo" didn't whig out on him at some point in his life. People seem to forget that these are wild animals and can do anything at any given time. Heck a friend of ours just had a holstein freak out on his wife while walking a calf up towards the barn. The farm has been in the family for four generations and he's nevers seen it happen or even heard of it happening from any of the farmers.
This nice story about friendly "bozo" could have easily been "bear mauls man" when he wouldn't offer up his snickers.
I'm not seeing the point of hunters baggin on another hunter because he shot a magnum bear that had been habituated to humans. It happens all the time. It's not like he pulled a Gentry on this bear, he did it within the law. It was probably a whole lot more sporting than a big fenced in deer hunt where the animal has been pumped full of antler growth minerals from birth.

I don't think theres good enough natural food in the woods for a black bear to get that freakin big.A bear like that would jump on a tree and fall right back on his ass cuz his claws would still be in the tree!!!

I don't think there claws come with an 879lb. rating!!!!

This bear ate crap his hole life. Natural foods have zero transfat, hair studys have shown bears that eat man made food and scraps have high transfat levels off the charts we have bears killed every year 600+ lbs with no transfat so I belive there is no natural food to produce 800+ lbs. 600 lbs seems to be the limit here in Pa.

not saying it was not sporting, I just know it would take away some of my hunt if i found out what this guy did, not saying he did anything wrong. Just sucks to find out you shot some jacked up animal, it would be more like shooting a big buck out in the wild and finding out he got out of the high fence, cool, but sucks to think you got something special and then find out something like that.
