Pepsi on Verge of Giving $250K to HSUS?
Sportsmen- Tell Pepsi the Truth about HSUS
The country’s largest anti-hunting group, the Humane Society of the United States, appears to be on the verge of getting a $250,000 grant from Pepsi Cola. The U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance (USSA) and others are working to inform Pepsi about HSUS’ true, animal rights agenda.

Every houndsman and hunter should be a member of USSA. I think they do more for us then any other group. Thanks for the heads up.

Dam it I was drinking one and you made me spit it all over my keyboard.

Seems like you can't trust anybody anymore. I wish we could get major corperations to give us money for our fight.

I agree with you, it is very important to be a member of USSA, they are up to date on everything from fishing to hunting. I get emails sent to me directly when something comes up, so everyone please go on their site and sign up for emails!!! Very important for our fight to keep hunting

Hey,
I logged onto Pepsi.com and if you follow their menus you can get to an area where you can make a statement directly into their company. I suggest that as many people that can log into pepsi and let them know how you feel about them giving money to the HSUS and that you will stop buying their products if they do. The only way they will be stopped is by us sending in as many messages as possible and let them know that we can hit them in their wallets with non purchase.

Please read the statement from USSA,, a little more carefully, Pepsi is not giving money to them, it was a contest with no political undertones involved, it is open to the public and has been in place for quite some time, Many worthy sportsman groups could have benefited from the same program, But as usual we are too busy working and hunting to pay attention, the antis seem to have nothing but time on their hands to try for the free grants, I do not believe that Pepsi has a thing to gain by the alienation of its customers on either side of the fence, Pepsi is in the business of making money, not political statements, Dont be so quick to condemn a company without getting your facts straight, a few posts sound like parroting the liberal brainwash, Dirty cooperation's ext ext, I hope the HSUS does not get the grant with all my heart and will be shamed if they do, Pay a little more attention to the nightly news and you will soon realize that there is a well organized effort going on to make both pepsi and coke the new big tobbaco companies ripe for the lawsuits and easy money to be had, Ironic that the very people who are out to destroy this company could very well benefit from it, So please get on the site and vote against HSUS, I am hoping to have the public relations dept post a statement, Dont know if they will but at least Im trying, Yep before you ask I work for Pepsi going on 24yrs now, Guess I will see if I get reply or a pink slip

Take care and good hunting Ken

Elkhuntress, I agree that the article is worth paying attention to, And I don't think you are wrong to make people aware of it, Hopefully with all the political implications HSUS will be ineligible to receive the grant in question. Back in the day HSUS was a fine organization before they were taken over by people with an agenda other than the original mission of that group, And I am in no way speaking as a representative of Pepsi Cola, just a private citizen who happens to work for them (hopefully that last line will cover my rump if this spins out of control

!) Pepsi employs something over 30,000 people there has to be many sportsmen in the ranks, I can only hope they will express their thoughts to the company as well, Take care Ken

I went to the Pepsi web site and posted and got back a very nice reply. There is not a person on here that should post a reply that hasn't taken the time to post on the Pepsi web site. Make your opinion count, houndsmen gripe to each other and then won't try to help themselves a lot of the time. JMO
Thank you for taking the time to contact us at Pepsi-Cola regarding the Pepsi Refresh Project.
We appreciate the time you took to share your sincere feelings regarding the Humane Society and for the constructive spirit in which they were offered.
Please know that I will forward your sentiments to our senior management team to be sure that they fully understand your position.

Bearsnva, Thank you kindly for the comments, I agree totally and appreciate you making your position known to the company, If more people would take the time to make the effort it would not be so easy for the antis to defeat us, I am not referring to this single issue, I am speaking of the never ending assault on America in general on all fronts, My whole life I have heard of the silent majority, well far as I'm concerned its way past time to speak up or "bite that pillow" and enjoy it, I could care less if anyone drinks Pepsi or not, That is not the issue at stake here, this is not a taste challenge, this is surrender due to APATHY, Wow! going on a rant here

guess I best shut up, Wake up and smell the Cashew Juice, get used to it, or defend yourself...Ken
