Just curious as to how many of you run the same hounds on various game. For instance I use the same pack of hounds for fox, bobcat, coon and bear. So for me a hound has to to be pretty handy and work as an all around dog and run all of the above game. I know some hounds prefer other game, like I have a fox dog and she is a fox dog but shell rig run start trail tree a bear or cat, coon. I also have a coon dog and thats what he is, is a coon dog but he'll strike rig run trail tree bear, cat, fox. Pretty much what im gettin at is how many of you run a variety of game with the same hound.

Our dogs are bear dogs and getting a good start lions and bobbers. Hell some of them will even run a deer or moose here and there, not on purpose of course.

Mine I use for everything as well, Bear, Coon, Cat (with the occasional Fox). They are first and foremost beardogs. They prefer bear the most, and have to have the heart, grit, speed, desire and endurance to be an above average beardog to stay in my yard. In the off season I run them on the smaller game. I have some that don't like varmits at all, some that do so-so, and one that loves them almost as much as bear. When I start getting into having a high number of dogs, I start looking at who is the most well rounded, all around dog, when deciding who goes and stays. I don't have a lot of room here, so it's nice to have the ones that do everything.
