Best hound I've ever owned hands down in 25 years was a Piute Mt. Redbone. He came out of So. CA. Tessa (BGH) had some of that bloodline but haven't seen anyone else that has had any.

I would recomend Kevin Jackson ( Billy x Sage ) in the redbone section or look up Donnie Stockton from N.C. I have a pup from both, 7 and 6 mths old , both are running and treeing without any help. Can't fault them for anything so far.

Donnie Stockton from Canton, NC has some of the best redbone stock around. Slugger his male throws some great lookin pups and they make some real dogs. They run with there heads in the air instead of on the ground.

I will have 1/4 Piute Mtn Redbone 1/4 Hoffmiester Redbone, and 1/2 grade NM and AZ lion dog bred pups this summer. Might be red in color, might be a mix of all colors, but they will be bred to hunt big game.

My Billy and Sage dogs both pick their heads up and move a track when it warms up but they'll put their heads down and move a cold track too. There were 8 pups from the last cross and six of them have been under bear, lion, or coon. I've heard a lot of good about Mr. Stockton's dogs. There are a lot of good ones out there if you know where to look.
