catahoula lepards for lion dogs

Has anyone ever used the catahoula to run cat if so how does this breed do i read it is a very smart and a good tracker. I want to get one but would like to know how it would on running lions first because thats what i want to use him for.

I also wanted to run catahoulas, I know there are a few people that run them on cats. from what I found out is that they don't have a very strong nose. So I don't know how they would be on dry ground. The few people that run them hunt cats in deep snow and then also use them for stock and hogs.

Not to start the whole Catahoula vs Leopard Cur argument, but look at the McDuffie line of Leopard Curs, very good noses, very good cat dogs. Also might talk to Dan McDonough on here, I have heard he runs some good Leopard Hounds on cats. The catahoula leopard curs from the south east are a different breed all together.

Goose is a Leopard Cur that we got from Sam Dieringer here in AZ. She is tight mouthed on track but has a great nose. She won't pound out a real cold track, but she'll definitely work a medium track as fast as most any dog.
In the picture she's the one on the top left.

Yeah I have a friend that runs Black mouth cur and has had good luck with then i really like the way those dog run lions they are fast dog. I got on line to look for one for me when i ran into the Catahoula leopard cur beed and found them very intresting. i read that they are smarter them the BMC iI really want to try one but i dont know if im wasting my time on the leopard cur for a lion dog.
