back to the basics

The last 2 nights i have went back to walking the river coon hunting trying to get the young dogs treeing better. What a blast i havent hunted for coons in over 15 years. In 5 hours i have treed 13 coon in 11 trees , 2 opossum and a grey fox. Jumped out the fox and boy oh boy what a race. took my 9 year old daughter she had a blast. Heading to the snow tomorrow for some cats with the cat dogs hopefully i will cut some tracks . Thought i would share it sure beats work.

JC you have possums in oregon? I thought that they where only a eastern and southern?
they sure are nasty things!

ya we have opossum i had to put them on there my daughter was more impressed by them than the rest of the critters. i left at 2 am this morning just got in . caught little female bobby . race was only about fifteen mins. went with a buddy he has a trigg female i would like to get my hands on . when the dogs crossed the road you could have threw a blanket on the first 5 dogs .
