Just wanted to say hi, I'm new to hound hunting this year. So far my B&t hound and I have got 96 coons this year since Oct. Is that a good number?

I have two black and tans, my male is 90 pounds solid and lean. My little female is 66 pounds and can run like the wind. When I got them they didn't care about coons at all. After working with them all spring and summer they tree more coons then I know what to do with. I'm always looking for more people and hounds to run with. I haven't found really anyone in my area that hunts with hounds. I would like to try them on bob cat one day, my female hates cats. Lol from Yale My.

Nice to meet you, this site is very helpful. I'm glad there's other people that love good hounds as much as I do.

I'm in the thumb area, but go hunting all over the state. Always nice to meet other people in Michigan that hunt with hounds.

Shure, that would be great. Got to love those big up north coons. Any wolves around you? I almost hit one on my four wheeler on black mountain last summer. Didn't know they were in the lower peninsula. Wish I would have hit it.

We ended this years coon hunting with 112 trees. Only shot out 42 of them though. Left all the smaller ones and a few big fat ones. This was my first year of coon hunting and it was a blast! I'll be running some more as soon as some of this new snow melts. How did every body eles do this year?

hey and welcome to the forum. i live in hermansville. up in the UP south central part. my pup just rolled over 10 months. got to see his first bobcat on the ground yesterday. lets say i was pertty proud when he opened up on it. theres way to many wolves this way. usually see a set of tracks or two every time out.

I hate those wolves. I really want to hunt up there, just don't want my hounds to become wolf dinner. You guys got a lot of coons up there? I have 20 acres in gladwin that buts up to state land. Hopefully I can get up there soon and run the hounds. I'm looking for a third hound to get this spring, if any one knows of good ones in Mi. Looking to get another b&t or a Cameron hound. Wish I had the money to get one out west, but I don't have the money to drive out there. Lol
