Any bpdy use a .410

Hey wondering if any of you use a .410. And how they are on the hides. Thinking bout using mine. Thanks everyone

Like any shotgun they can blow a big hole in the coon if close enough. If you want to save the hides go with a 22. The other thing is they are louder than a 22 so if you have pups or gunshy dogs make sure you tye them up before shooting.

If its not needed as in areas that are closed to hunting with anything other then a shotguns I wouldnt use them if you wanted to save the pelt. Like bearhunter said 22 works great one shot every time. And if it is in a closed area then get a sling shot they work just as good with a little practice and much nicer to pack then a long 410.

I like to use them to knock them out to the dogs especially when they are trying to hide in the crook of a tree.

slingshot or a long stick! 22 cal pellet gun works great if your trying to save the hide for some reason. personally i like to knock it out to my dogs let them take care of it
