Of course every good hunting site helps you get the meat...Now what goes great with all meats??????

Gator's Taters
1st we need a cast iron skillet( my choice any frying pan will work, but I have one seasoned just for this)

2nd we need 3-4 cloves of garlic chopped and squashed(pressed for you proper people)

3rd we need 1/2 a med onion cut into strings

4th we need 3-4 strips of bacon thick cut

add these all together in your pan and add just enough cooking oil to brown them all.

leave this all in your pan and add sliced taters(about 1/8 inch thick) how many you need depends on how many people you are feeding. For 3-4 people I use about 6 good med taters.

At this point you will need to add just a bit more oil to help your taters cook(remember the thicker the tater slices the longer they have to cook)

Asyou see the taters heating up add salt and pepper to taste and add 1/2 of a stick of butter cut into 3 pieces.

Cook this altogether until the centers of the thickest slices are soft and enjoy with your favorite meat.

I hope what i lack in writting skills will be out weighed by the fullness of your tummy

They were very good. Your directions were pretty clear as well. Thanks much. For all the home fries and fried potatoes I make I've never thought to add bacon to the mix. Hog numbers are going to go down throughout the land!! thanks much, Paul Conway.
