Plotts.
There are good and bad ones in every breed, but I love the Plott dogs of certain strains

As long as you get a solid bloodline in any breed they all can be good, some breeds are faster some are colder nose and some are more natural gritty dogs, but I have had every breed of hound there is and dont have a favorite I have a little bit of everything in my kennels.

leapfrog 94 : A trigg cross is what you get when you mix those worthless plotts with them July walkers and some Heinz 57 variety thrown in for good measure. . They seem to bring big $$$ for them western boy breeders

Leapfrog a trigg is a running dog breed and bear hunter most likely crosses em with walkers as do "SOME" guys around here.

DC Doggin you are correct. The only reason I would cross a trigg into a plott is if I wanted to slow the trigg way down and have lots of tree fights.

I wonder if you intentionally bred for a tree fightin, hot nosed, crappy mouth, tender footed, babbling, empty headed hound how many would turn out to be all around phenomenal hounds on cats and bears?

No wonder the antis get on this site and try to get rid of hunting...
Everyone has to just sit here and talk shit about dogs, people, size of animals...
I'm startin to see what they see, if we can't even get along, why even have this sport?
There are mean dogs in EVERY breed and EVERY strain! Sometimes it is just the dog, sometimes, believe it or not, it is the OWNER!
There are cold nosed and hot nosed dogs in EVERY breed and strain.
Don't really get what the hatred for Plotts is. I have seen some great ones, and seen some that were POS. But that goes for every breed.
Screw it, end hound hunting, it will just give everyone a bigger chance to sit here and bitch about what everyone else likes and what works for someone else.

one that will hunt! I have no time or patience for dogs that just want to bark at their own shadow and act like idiots. My dogs are grade and I am happy with them. Getting and breeding more grade dogs here this spring.

probably what turns me off about the PLOTTS is on a % basis I seem to think they start / show aggression towards other hounds more than other breeds . Grit is great ,AGGRESSIVENESS towards other hounds is UNACCEPTABLE . The aggressors should be culled

I completely and 100% agree with you on the aggressiveness towards dogs needing to be culled. I would like to know the strains of these Plotts to see how other peoples experiences compare to ours if we have had the same strains.
We had horrible experience with a Cameron male because he was worse then any Plott could be as far as aggressiveness towards dogs and even people. Overall I would say I personally wouldn't own one if someone paid me to take it. But I'm not gonna say all Bluetics are crap because we had a horrible experience with one Bluetic.
If left to do what they want, most dogs will be dog agressive
