I've never hunted with one but have several friends that have them. The only problem (if you consider it a problem) I hear is that the majority of them are tight mouthed on a cold track. I know the ones I've seen are well built dogs.

Good I'm glad to hear it cause I have one coming in the spring!!! He called me this fall and had one that he wanted to send me cause my name came up on the list but at the time I just had to many pups and didn't have room and he said it was no problem he would just call someone else but now I wish I would have made room and hope I didn't piss him off. Oh well I'll just wait for the call again!!

Mainly coons and bobcats, with the occassional cussed coyote thrown in to keep me humble.

I have had my two for a month or so from Mike, I couldnt be happier, These dogs are really good. They handle great, definatley have seen a lot of game before i got them. I took them coon hunting and got three coon with them first time out. One is already rigging well. Set a long lion drag today for them and they followed it at a full run right to the tree. One of the pups barks on track but one is dead quiet. One has a cold nose and the other hot.. Overall very happy with the dogs.

Hey, jimmyd, I have 2males, from mike, 2year olds. I like em! Real nice dogs! Our rabbits, are on a low cycle, and coyotes on a high cycle, so we got a lot less cats down here. You guys have good cat numbers? What dog is yours out of? playboy? Kirk

I bought a pup from Mike last fall and she was seven months old when I got her, got to know her for a couple of weeks and turned her loose with my dogs and she has progressed more each time. I am very happy with her, I hunt her on hogs and bear and she is a gamey little gal, especially for a young dog,you would expect her to be 2-3 years old the way she bays game.Just tell mike how you hunt and what your looking for in a dog and he will match one to fit your needs.Hope this helps you .....Jason

I think you should call mike and discuss what you need in a dog, and he will be honest with you. I know he spends a lot of time with his pups hunting them on small game and it shows when you get them.
