Looking For Stud Dog

I have a daughter of Bloody Bill that I would like to breed. She is a hunting machine, I've hunted her on bear, bobcat, and lion in WY, MT, UT, and WI. She'll do it all on all those critters all by herself. The problem is I don't know anyone with a really good Plott in my area. Would like a male that is a proven reproducer. Will travel to most western states.

What line is Bloody Bill out of? Are you interested in keeping within that line or outcrossing? I run and like the Salmon River Plotts, JD Scribner in N. ID has some of the best there is. He runs the same game that you do and they get the job done. I know of times when there were bad dog-killing bears and people have called him up to come put that bear in a tree so they could shoot it and go back to nice cuddly little teddy bears that go in a tree when they hear the dogs in the box

Denny Scribner had a salmon river dog kill a bear, one on one. Their speed is unequaled in the hound breeds, their nose is as good as you could hope for in a plott, and their willingness to pull fur and sweet talk and swarm a bear til he goes in the tree is well known in the north ID area.

if I were you I would talk to Craig Edwards in NM or AZ and breed to his Gator dog. Runs bear, cats, and lions. Gator is out of Bloody Bill and a pocahontas bitch so you should keep everything you like about your gyp. If you do cross her to Gator let me know. I might want one or two

Craig is in Utah and you could probably get ahold of him by going to the Plottnews site.

There you go. Couldn't remember exactly where Craig said he was from but UT is right. I remember him saying he hunted with Bill Kinross a little. Look into that Gator dog though, should be a good cross. And plottnews is a good spot to get in touch with Craig

Sound like the bears might want to start packing kryptonite!
