go to your local electric coop ask them if they have any extendo sticks they have taken out of service our coop will usually give you one if any are available

x2 on that ted. I, too got mine from the coop. They are very expensive though. I did get mine for free, but only because my buddy works for em. He told me they run a few hundred bucks, but like you said, if they have been decomissioned, a guy might have some luck. I love mine, works like a charm!

Look up "Gopher Pole". They telescope to 26' and weigh about 5 lbs. Cost $150-175. I think I got mine from Tecra Tools.

These poles work great and in our country we need them to extend to 35 ft..
Google "Geo Data" or "Telescoping Poles" to find them new & they are not cheap! $490 for 35 ft pole, BUT---sure works great to have them jump races and train them young dogs!

Or, if you know some one that works for electric co-op, you may get them to pick-one up for you that has been discontinued or maybe broken top piece?

Good luck :D :D

Has anyone ever tried smacking the side of the tree with a good sized stick? I've done this before and for some reason, cats seem to hate it. I just tapped the side of the tree a few days ago and got the bugger to jump.

Use a paintball gun. Works pretty good and a lot cheaper.

fella's i work as electrical "A" class lineman and those extendo sticks are hard to come by. when took out of order now due to a hazard defect they are usually destroyed due to idiots buying them and using them on powerlines and getting there self killed or burnt. i believe it is an osha requirement now to destroy them because they are a liability. hope you find one but you can buy a new one from american safety but they are pricey.
