Washington Newbie to Coon Hunting

I am planning on getting a Redbone is early March. He'll be about 8 wks. I have already order some scent, drag and also found a coon pelt on Ebay. I plan on training right away.
I am being lazy here, knowing I can get a copy of the State's Hunting pamphlet to find this information, but what are the months when you can actually hunt coon in Washington? And idea on which permits i will need to have? Would a general hunting permit suffice?
Also, would anyone out there be willing to let me and my dog tag along with them when he is old enough?
