I have some friends that ranch south of nogales also. the cats are indeed in the area the real issue is trailing them it seems if you can get on them real fresh the chances of treeing go way up. how did the recent freeze affect your area? I heard it killed a lot of corn farther south and got some of the produce crops too. Those farmers are going to suffer this year as their corn was almost ready for harvest lost a full growing season. with no gov subsidies. it surprised me the number of raccoons in that area. here on the border the coons are scattered and few. however we treed a dozen down there in a few hours a couple years ago. Had a great time and a nice change up from cats. good to see you on here!

around here is mostly cattle, you gotta go a little further south and then there is some agriculture, ive got a freind in aguascalientes that grows corn and he is hurting due to freeze.the country that i hunt there are very few coons, but just a few miles north and they are everywhere.peaple eat them here.not me but my mother in law is a pro at cooking armadillos, great tasting but a virgin like me has gotta plug his nose when they are being cooked.where on the border r u?
