Has anyone ever heard of running wolverines with there hounds? Have talked to a few houndsmen that have cut tracks and thought about it but never have. What do you guys think?

I read a great story about just that in Del Cameron's book. He ran in to this problem I believe several times. Pretty nasty wreck sounded like.

you used to be able to in MT, I think it was right around 2003/2004 that they did away with it

Dogs – Dogs may be used to take bobcat per MCA 87-3-124, but no other
animals defined by law as furbearing animals.
Dogs may be used to hunt
or chase bobcats within prescribed hunting hours and seasons.

Yes I've had several when the dogs pulled off a cougar or bear. Always had cut up dogs but no serious injuries. Just looked like someone took a razor to there front legs and face nothing that stiches didn't fix up. My experience in running them is they run like hell and never tree.

You missed the part above that Doogie where they said the wolverines "ran like hell". In case you bumped your head or are just truly struggling today that means the dog has to as well. It was almost a good pipe dream though but the plotts actually running something part, alone w/out another breed to guide them? You didn't fall out the back of the short bus again did you? C'mon dude. Cheers

Only been able to see one plott work on a track. Thought it did a pretty stand up job for how much training it's had. How are they for cold weather?
