just got my first coonhound

Im 14 and i just got my first coonhound on saturday. hes a 4 month old english. i already got him chasing a coonhide and i am pretty excited to start coonhunting behind my own dog this fall.

congrats! this sites pretty helpful to the newbies, but theres always the Aholes who try to cut you down no matter what..goodluck
who's the pup out of? i've always loved those english dogs

congrats!! remember use common sense and get that pup to the woods as often as you can. keep us updated on your progress

good luck with your new pup. just remember to let him be a pup at that age, don`t push him too hard.

You'll have your ups and downs but at the end it's all worth it.
