Animal Planet's "Blonde Vs. Bears"

You have to watch this when you are finished with Wild Justice. It is about Ann Bryant and her organization "The Bear League" in Lake Tahoe, California/Nevada. It is at the same time hilarious and disturbing. I can't wait to see one of these broads get mauled while trying to discourage a bear with a paintball gun. With Nevada opening a season, I'm putting in for a tag (good luck) but try hunting the Tahoe basin. There aren't a lot of roads, there are a lot of big (400+) bears, and lots of antis. The media blitz is in full swing against us, I think we need reinforcements (Ted Nugent maybe?). At the blackjack table last week some lady tried to tell me shooting bears is illegal and refused
to believe me when I said it is. You can teach the ignorant, but you can't fix stupid. -Pete

I found this very disturbing as a teacher when I asked my city kids if bears were almost extinct... over 95% of the class raised their hands. As a hunter and a guy that hunts with dogs I spend a lot of time educating the youth about these matters the media lies really has tainted their view of hunting and the outdoors. My wife has a cousin who is a professor at Penn State; she had some tainted views until the bears were trying to get in her house and she is afraid to let her child play in the yard. Now she thinks we should be hunting them more so they are afraid of man instead of us being viewed as a source of food. Funny we have been telling people this for years.

I guess its just a fact of life that the media needs to portray something minor and a major matter. I work as a nuisance wildlife guy in Ontario in the heart of cottage country were all the big wigs from the city come up to "relax in nature", you wouldnt believe some of the people ive run across, frig the local towns highschool used to shut down for moose and deer season! if you even mention hunting or "harming" an animal to some they go left field and freak right out, i do my best to educate but for some it just doesnt work...

If that crack pot ever came into my yard she'd get a gun in her face. I wonder if she has considered that she may be threatening human life by not killing problem bears. If a bear is in my yard, that's a problem. If there are enough bears that they need to go through my yard, then there are enough bears after the ones in my yard are dead. I would not care what anyone else thinks.

Well after seeing this post I had to watch it and I did tonight for the first and last time. What a pile of crap this show is. First off she is your run of the mill sick in the head, ignorant and uneducated anti. Its shows just like this that the 84% of the public that are undecided/neutral when it comes to hunting see and its shows just like this one that sticks in their heads when its time to vote. The next big trouble I have with the show is why is it that she has all these wild animals in her home as pets. Where is DFG they should be up there citing her for this, but no they cant because they are spending all our tax money running around the woods with bear feet tied to their shoes. Then she willfully in dangers peoples lives many times, discharging a firearm in a residual area, shooting from roadways, shooting towards homes.
It sure goes to show you how this great state of ours works. Ted Nugent does a hunting show where he is hunting here in California and the DFG watches it and go after him for every little thing they can nail him with. Now here it is 1 year later and this crazy anti gets her show and you can bet she will be just fine. I bet while she is at one of the meeting this year down in Sacramento trying to ban bear hunting they will even tell her what a great show she has and how happy they are to see it.
Let me know when she gets ate by one of them bears she loves so much I will watch it then......

I'll have these for sale soon for $5 and I will donate one buck from each sticker to COHA or CHC or maybe the Cal-TiP K-9 program or the California Game Wardens ASSociation. Can't wait for Wild Justice Season 2, how about you? -Pete

I saw this show for the first time last night and agree that she is a basket case. She even admits it in the show confessing that she is agorophobic and is a shut in. I agree with the comment above about all the wild creatures she has in her house and I can only conclude that she is an ANIMAL HOARDER and should be on that other show to get rid of her illegall pets. I like how she goes around hazing bears out of the community then at the end of the episode she sits down ten feet from a bear and tries sweet talking it. The bear was right by a wood pile so it was right by a home. Way to be consistent on your methods you crazy bitch. She'll end up like the Treadwell guy. They think they have this special connection with the wild animals. Then she can appear on a third show. When Animals Attack.- Lance

The wood pile was in her backyard the bear goes thru there to go to the lake.Has there been no bear season there very long.I cant believe a state in economical crisis. And they dont use bear season to create revenue.Sounds like you guys and girls need to vote differently.

coop74,
We do hunt bear here in Cal. just not much hunting around the lake there due to all the tree huggers and due to the fact that its right on the state line. I dont know about other guys hounds but mine cant read for shit just cause it says state line they dont care and would hate to tree a bear in a non hunting state. Thats another law she is breaking while she is shooting at the bears and hearding them thats harassment of wildlife. I think we should all call the Caltip hotline next week when its on and report every law we see her break.

I agree this show is a big pile off horse shit I think this lady needs to be in a nut house its another tree hugging miss informing people with the wrong information like wild justice . Has any one see the part where she finds out that a house owner had called and had a state trapper set a live trap for a bear that was coming into his house. So she rushed over to the house got out crying and screaming and telling the bear she was sorry because the trapper was coming to kill him. Then she went yelling and screaming at the home owner for having the bear trapped. The home owner tried to tell her they would tag and relocate the bear but she just kept screaming at him no they kill every bear they trap. He finely told her she was crazy and to get off his property and don't come back. So she went to a church out in the woods with her porcupine to tell the other people about the bear that was going to be killed. Yep they have a padded room for her but I am sure one of her loving bears is going to eat her first when she tries to talk to it about its problems.

We should send her way up north were bears are more preditory as the growing season is so short and they tend to rely more on other food sources and see how long she lasts. That being said in Ont. bear problems are very common, its a pain in the ass but ive never felt threatened by a bear in the yard.

Live to Hunt
Lake Tahoe water must have something in it.I have never seen so many bear at one time.We have huggers here as well thats why I only run 2 dogs.I still cant find that many bear around our lakes.Bottle that stuff and send me some.lol And my 2 dummies cant read either.Told a land owner that once the guy just laughed. Now he lets me run there as long as i dont have any weapons, and I dont bring anyone with me.Have you guys ever tried to work with fish and game to just run them out of the area? I did that for someone down the road from me.Now when her dog barks the bear flat out leaves. You folks can keep that woman right out there! good luck

We do have some good numbers of bears all over the state. They like the spots with the easy food and so many people camp up there it bring in lots of food for them. Fish and Game dont like hound hunter in this state there are not willing to work with us on very much even when it helps them. They have a guy that works for them and thats all he does is work that area with some Karelian Bear dogs to drive them out. He live traps them and works them with the dogs to do just that.
