For you guys that hunt with garmins and tritronics how do you carry it on you and have it easily accesible thanks

I may look like a real geek when i unzip my jacket when hunting but i have this pistol holster/harness that a local guy builds, i have installed a couple of small d-rings and clip both the garmin and e-controller on one of the shoulder straps. When i take it off at home its all together to charge and never comes apart, pistol included. The only downfall to this is when its real cold you have to unzip your jacket part way to get to it and sometimes the gps screen fogs for a few seconds

I wear a carhart shirt with two front pockets. I put a small cord with a carabiner on it attatched to both. caribeaner goes through the button hole to insure that if you bend over and drop it you wont lose it. I have already lost a garmin and a sport dog that way so now they are idiot proof.

I bought bibs and a jacket from hycreek. The jacket has enough pockets to carry everything I need. I keep the Garmin handheld in my front roght pocket. A set of AA in another and a box of .22 ammo in another.

That doesn't help when I stick the handheld in the case and leave it on the tool box. I learned that mistake. It cost me a handheld and a case at the tail end of coon season

I laugh about it now but for about 2 weeks the word Garmin was not spoke in my house!!

This applies here as well. This is what I prefer to use. An old pic so not carrying the tracker any longer. There is a pouch on this one behind all the pockets. Large enough for a whole bunch of crap. Normally all my wallet stuff, extra batteries, knife, etc. May even carry a can of off in a pocket in the summer. There is a clip on the shoulder for a mag light. That works great catching dogs in the dark, or walking out with them!

I have a Bright Eyes vest.has pockets for just about everything.Daytime hunting I just take my belt light off it.

Steve and bear hunter, are you able to swing a gun with ease?. I have been using just a night light jacket this winter, plenty of pockets. The G3 doesnt fit well, during the summer,I hooked the radio to a leash around my chest. Now garmin, radio, a few spare batteries,I guess Im going to have to look, at you guys options, Im going to feel like GI Joe, going out through the woods with shit hanging off me I got to cheat like heck now knowing the area and terrain to beat these kids to a tree, and thats traveling light, shhhhh, its our secret And this 16 inches of new snow, we caught five yotes, in the last two days, I watched two 6'5, 20 year old kids, running and racing down an old road to get to the yote first, heck, i dont even try to follow now, i just stay at the truck Dam snow is knee deep to the average guy

Ron, The pic I posted is of a 4 point chest harness. So everything is out of the way in the center of your chest. No problem with using a gun or bow. It is very lightweight by itself. So the small stuff you add is all the weight it has. Nothing in my pockets to fall out or get wet wading a swamp or creek. My partners where theirs in the winter as well. My winter suit has 11 pockets so I don't need it then. Time to retire my current suit. WIth the next one may have to use the chest harness. These are also the same thing the forest fire guys wear. Hard to fight a fire with crap hanging all over the place. Same as catching up dogs I suppose.

i use a duck call lanyard. slid the loops over the bel clip and pull tight. works great
