bobcat hunt

i was wondering if anyone has heard of a bobcat hunt that they used to have, i heard that they had it in nova scotia and new york. i don't they have it anymore, actually in quite awhile.i've just heard of it mentioned and i would like to hear about it or read it, so if you have any info let me know thanks. jeff

They used to have one in Montana. Its been a long time ago. If I remember right Bob Marasok won it with his Topper dog. Topper was a product of linebreeding on Lester Nance's stock of dogs. Many bobcat and big game hunters today are still useing dogs bred around Topper and Lester Nance's bloodline.

I dont know why they didnt continue haveing this hunt maybe because it was too much work. I know today you have to be a resident of Montana to hunt bobcats. A lot of it boils down to the work and time involved to put a hunt together like this usually falls on a couple shoulders, and there seems to be a lot more complaints than ata boys.....

Maybe if there is still a few good ol boys willing to post they can fill us in on how the bobcat hunt went in Montana.

thanks for your input, they must had it in a different state each time or couple times because i know they had one in new york also.
