Help Replacing Stolen Hound

I just heard that a family friend is in need. They have an 8yo boy who came home to empty kennels. The young boy loves rodeo and coon hunting. His daily routine is to attend school, rope (practice for youth rodeo's), then after he tends to his chores he would take his two dogs coon hunting. He does this every day and does the coon hunting alone on their ranch. Anyways, when he got home from his rodeo last weekend his hounds were gone. He had a pup trainer and a young hound pup.

I need help locating a good strait older hound. This kid is only 8 as I said before. I'd like him to have a good experience being he is hunting alone. I need a dog that won't trash even if his pup does. I have handled getting him a pup so that end is taken care of. Please help me find him something that'll work, if I had coon hounds I'd give him any one he wanted. This is just a great kid!

I'm not asking for anything for free although we won't turn that down either. Y'all know what we're looking for so let me know what you can come up with. Thanks for the help folks, I know he'll be very grateful. Just PM me or post up here, I'll keep an eye on this post.

Thanks,
Shorty Gorham

Shorty,
If I had a dog that would fit the bill he would be there already. You may have already found what you are looking for but if not try posting this add over on coondawgs.com or the ukc forum Ill bet you'll find a pretty good deal. I know I am a long ways away but if I can help in any way let me know.

Thank you everyone for looking and for the offers. Isn't it just a shame that someone would do that to the boy. I was heart broke for the boy and pissed at the same time. His favorite movie is Where The Red Fern Grows and his mother says he reenacts the movie all the time.

Anyhow thanks to C. John Clay I think we've got the problem solved. It's great to have friends in this harsh world! Y'all are great and thanks for helping me fix this problem.
I'll keep you posted on the boys reaction.
