MACDONALD BLK-N-TANS ?

DOES ANYBODY STILL HAVE OR HUNT THIS STRAIN HAD 1 ,25 YEARS AGO THAT WAS PRETTY GOOD. BUT DIED YOUNG.

DW Dixon out of Virginia did have some of this strain a couple of years ago. I saw a few photos of them with hogs and bear, and I saw them work at a few field trials. That is the only dealings I have had with any of them.

Would that be John Macdonald from Alba Texas? He lives pretty close to me here in Jacksonville, Texas. Don't really know him except by reputation. Hear his dogs are pretty gamey.

That's the same John I believe. I have a some of the lineage in my male. I talked to a James Blackburn a few months ago and he is raising a few dogs out of that line. His info can be found at his website:
