Boy these photos have made the rounds over the past few years, and the stories are about as wild as the one with the jackass shaking the dead lion. LOL!
The lion on the porch I am told was taken in Lander, Wyoming. But who knows I got this from a man who's sister supposidly took the photos, but then again I have heard folks say it was taken in South Dakota.
The big dead cat was North Bend Washington and was called up with a predator call, and blasted with a 30-06..
I got a kick out of somebody saying it was taken in south Texas. How many of you South Texas boys have tire chains hanging in your garage? LOL!
And the beat goes on..........................................................................................................................................................LOL!

I don't know if it is me or what. But look at the door section seem to be real big compared to that guy. The Lion in the window I herd it was taken in Boise ID. But of course the same guy that told me that. Claims the Lion and the mule was him and his buddy working for a outfitter when this happend to them. When that Lion snuck in on them and the mule killed it. WOW what great storys.

Mr. Leonard is correct. The first cat was on a mans porch in Lander. They saw it, took pictures, the cat was never seen agian. NO CHILDREN INVOLVED but it makes the story better for some reason I guess.

That's a big old lion for sure. The guy holding it is also a taxidermist and is well over 6 ft. tall. If the lion was fresh and still floppy he would be very hard to pick up and hold. As most of you know lions are hard to hold on to when fresh dead they just are slick and dead weight and not much to get ahold of. This lion is probably not frozen but he is ridged and can be held up better. The biggest lion body size I have taken to date weighed 227 lbs. on a certified butchers scale, and this lion looks to be every bit as big as that one was, and maybe bigger. He certainly wasn't missing many meals that's for sure. LOL!

Common garage door panels are 18" and 21" high. Extra large doors have 24" panels. The fellow in the picture is exactly 3 panels tall, so he is is a short 4"6", or 5"3", or exactly 6' tall. The cat held in front always looks larger than the man behind him.
I saw a picture on TV last week that was being passed off as a black panther but was really a black feral cat in the grass. Guessing from pictures is a shot in the dark at best.

No that's a BS story. I'm not sure how they put that crap in the paper, but I heard about it from a friend. Those pictures were cirulating when i lived in Iowa a few years ago and all those hillrods were saying it was Ft Dodge Iowa...It's been around for a while and pops up in a new area all the time.

WACH - You are correct about that. I have seen those pictures in several venues over at least the last couple of years ---- each time with a somewhat different story.

I was at the Harrisburg Pennsylvania Sportsman's show about 4 years ago and a guy showed me the picture of the guy holding the lion and told me it was shot in Pennsylvania. That was shortly after I was told it was shot in Texas. I don't want to try to guess the weight. It is hard to tell from a picture but it looks big. Will we ever know the real story??
