The ticks are starting to come out around here, and I noticed my border collie had a bunch
on him. So picked some up. I can't remember the name but they are the bright orange y-tex
insecticide tags. Good luck so far with ticks. But only had them on for about a week.
They do look kind of funny with those tags in thier ears though :D

About 30 to 40 years ago there was a pest strip from shell that worked. I just nailed it in side the dog house for fleas. It seemed to work great until a dog chewed it off and eat it. Just about lost the dog. They have great flea and tick control now. It might be expensive but in the long run you get what you pay for. Dewey

Good point about getting what you pay for I currently use frontline just heard about the cow tags and was looking for input. The cow tags are very cheap and thought for a lot of dogs might be a good alternative. I was thinking off cutting it in half and zip tying it to their collar on each end so it would be flat but the risk of eating it probalbly out weighs the little bit off savings thanks for the advise

The fleas and ticks are a nuisance and they irritate the dogs so you could just check out some tips on http://termitesvic.com.au/pest-control/pest-control-melbourne to get rid of these ticks or a vet could be just the person to help your dog.

For Fleas, I give my dogs Comfortis. It's a little spendy but it flat out works
