What I can’t figure is if you have four dogs to a set and they are drawing randomly and there’s one judge/guide per set then there’s only three names that there drawing randomly to a set + one judge/guide? If that’s not true then with a random drawing how do they know if they will draw a judge/guide?

One would have to be a judge/guide? If he’s gonna hunt a dog that would equal four dogs to a set? If you had four dogs that where in a set, that they would be drawing randomly to, then there's a judge/guide to each set and IF he has a dog in the hunt you would have five dogs to a set? Don't think so..

Confused…thanks for any help

I answered your question on the UKC site. But I'll repost it here. 1st the judges should be picked and placed on the cards. The a guide(from a seperate guide pile) should be drawn for any judge that is not guiding. Then the remainder of the casts should be drawn to the cards. This ensures a qualified(in the clubs opinion LOL) judge and guide for each cast.

Thanks, StrawberryMt

I'm hoping that's what it's like for the most part. Drop me a e-mail when passing through Utah any time.
