Ok folks I need some help! I am want to get my 13 year old boy and his dogs on some bears. Our plan is to run off some bait. We have decided to hunt Unit 39, this unit is above Boise. i do not know that area, and would like some advice on where to go and set some bait.

So any help and advice for this unit would be awsome. I wandt Brian to beable to run his dogs, and maybe even get a shooter bear treed.

Thanks, and God Bless.

harris cr has some bear and its roaded all right. My best advice is to go put a legal bait out and go back in a week and turn loose you will then have to learn the area.

Harris creek would be a good bet. Just watch the private property that is in there and also be very concious of the wolves. The private property owners in that area are not hound freindly to say the least.

harris ck is good but may try grimes ck or clear ck also dont worry to much bout wolves lots of people and the big bad wolf dont like people so should be ok. harris ck is ok but to many d bag bear hunters over there, if you do go there head towords placerville dont run roads before summit or you will be walkin long ways
