My name is Ryan, and I am from Northern Utah. Almost as far north as you can get before crossing into Idaho. I had hound dogs as a teen, but life got busy. I bought my first hound almost three years ago as a pup. His name is Hank and he is a pure-bread Bluetick. My wife sure sissyed him up as a house dog. lol But since him I have gotten a Walker/Red Tick Female who is just over a year old her name is Sadie, and another unrelated Bluetick/Walker Female named Zoey. They are very awesome Dogs. They have been out on Cougar tracks several times over this winter. I find so much Joy and pleasure out of taking the dogs out. I have plenty of Cougar pics that I will have to post soon. I have had a Great Friend Randy take me in and show me all the tricks and tips that have helped me so much from training to hunting. I cant wait to see what the future brings.

I'm also interested in this answer as many of us hog hunters in the south east are now moving towards this same cross in addition to the Plott.

That's funny...we have a dog named Hank (or had up until a few weeks ago) and a dog named Sadie, and a walker/bluetick cross! Glad you're getting the chance to get back into it all!

Well where she is only 8 months old its really hard to tell exactly how she is going to be, but so far she is doing great. she is opening on trails, and tracking very well. She is very curious and aware of everything that is going on. Hope that helps ya.
