Shot Tred's tv show last week. Mike Martell was up hunting with me at the time and was a big help handling the dogs while I attended to Tred.Killed a real nice boar and took a pile of video of the dogs. World class videographers, I hope all the dog footage works out well, they took a pile, filming the dogs on each bear. I am sure Mike will give us his perspective when he reaches Oregon.

Tred had a spinal stroke, just over 2 years ago.

Thats great thanks for sharing the photos with us all, very nice to see him still out there doing what he loves and not letting that keep him down. Cant wait to see it on TV and looking forward to hearing Mikes take on the whole trip. That dog is crazy was the tree leaning much or is he just one heck of a climber? That tank track wheelchair is amazing how did it do in to the tree?

If you can score a crash and burn dismount I would say about an 8.

The tree was a bit of a leaner but old buddy was hanging on pretty tight. The dogs where trying to high mark each other and Buddy won so he got the photo posted.

That Action Trackchair was awesome. Only a chainsaw to clear the blowdown was needed and a spotter on some steep terrain. Beat the heck out of carrying Tred around like last year.

Doug,
thanks to you and Julie for a week filled with more action than a guy can get any place in the world....too cool...Chris, the hunt was great. the track chair is from action track chairs in Minnesota. the manufacturer was very gracious in allowing it to be tested under the toughest of conditions. this should be one of the best hound hunts filmed.what an honor to be a part of the production. i hauled the track chair from washington to Doug's. when i first seen this contraption at our sport show, i thought of tred....i mentioned to the manufacturer doing the hunt last year. the man looked at me like.....right....i grabbed one of his cards and forwarded it to Doug. the deal fell together and was an instant hit....looks like if you have guts enough to ride it, pretty well will get you there...good stuff for old broken down houndsmen

behind the scenes trumps the hound work and the hunting....for those who really love the sport, this is how we define success....hunting with tred barta, meeting treds assistant Daniel Montoya. what a outstanding young man, Doug you are right about the world class videographers, Danny and David. mark and Carson need much praise for doing the heavy work...two cool hunters who gave up their time to help out....Julie and her down home cooking....Courtney and colton mcmann, two great kids!

that tree was a leaner, the dog generally doesn't climb. notice those lynx dogs missing? they were home in the kennels back in oregon. thanks again Doug!

Good Stuff Guys, I seen one of them chairs at the sportsman show here in town, I remember really taking a good look at them, We have a Logger Friend up here that had an accident, He's pretty much a Hard core Hunter, and I've taught all three his kids hunter ed, Super nice guy and spend a ton out scouting, Shed hunting and Just hunting, and I think that's exactly what he needs once he stabilizes some.

If not for the youth deal, I think trying to Sponsor something for Disabled guys who just want to be outside would be another Bright thing to do.

I'm just thinking out loud here, But maybe one day we can raise up some money on the site, buy one of them chairs and pass it around to different parts of the world, to get some of those Unfortunate guys who might need some help and get them under some tree's... So much Good From hounds men, We need some good PR sometimes and these guys can use some help.

I think most of us can really sympathize getting disabled and the only thing we would want is to get back out into the sticks.

Anyways, Doug, Mike, Thanks for making something like this happen and sharing it with us all..
