On Tuesday, I had one male and one female fixed. Yesterday, I went to the hills to do a little fishing and let the dogs cool off a bit. I didn't plan on roading them, but the dogs had other plans. All of the dogs (4), including the two that had just been fixed packed up and took off down the road. The two that have been fixed ran about one mile. I just noticed that the female has a hard spot around her incision spot. She does not seem to be affected by it, and it doesn't seem to hurt when I touch it. I let her out of the kennel a little while ago while I fed and cleaned the kennel, and she ran around the yard like she was fine (then I found the hard spot). I was curious if anyone has seen this before on a female they had spayed. I am a little concerned, but she does not seem to be in pain, so that has helped calm me down a little bit.

I would guess it might be some scar tissue.
a while back I had a female that had a hernia close to her hind leg--- you could push it in and in just a minute or 2 it was back. had the vet repair it.... but in a short order a new hernia popped up close to the same site. appearently the membrane that holds things together was weak .... any way it was an ongoing problem...
if there is no pain and it is solid I would not get to concerned.

you will not be able to push the scar tissue in..
